My favorite movie of Filmfest Hamburg 2012 (blog post in German) is being streamed for free by German/French public broadcaster arte until Monday, March 23, 2017 (link to arte’s media library). Im vergangenen Jahr war ich gnädig und sprach von einem „Festtag für Freunde der Live-Musik“, denn damals gab es wenigstens noch „Ausrutscher“ wie Katy Perry, Miley Cirus, Die Fantastischen Vier, One Direction und Revolverheld. Gegenüber dem, was ab morgen (am Samstag/Sonntag, 31.12.2016/1.1.2017) bei „Pop around the clock“ auf 3sat läuft, war aber selbst die Programmgestaltung des Springsteen-Fans Peter Rüchel beim WDR-Rockpalast vergleichsweise progressiv. Der hatte damals immerhin auch farbigere bis buntere Bands wie George Clinton und Parliament/Funkadelic oder Ian Dury & the Blockheads dabei.

3sat hingegen versteht unter „Pop“ 2016 primär alte weiße Herren – und holt dafür selbst Journey und Foreigner aus der Mottenkiste.

Season 2 of „Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt“, the hilarious sitcom created by Tina Fey and her „30 Rock“ show runner Robert Carlock, is at least as strong as its premiere season. I especially enjoyed the addition of Tina Fey’s role as Andrea Bayden, „an alcoholic therapist who is separated by work Andrea at day and drunk Andrea at night“ (Wikipedia). On RottenTomatoes.com, the series still has the same approval rate by critics as in season 1: 95 %. In short: „Not letting up in season two, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is still odd in the best of ways, wonderfully building on its unique comedy stylings and brilliantly funny cast.“

Heute ist mal wieder ein Festtag für Freunde der Live-Musik: Seit 6.20 Uhr zeigt 3sat​ beim jährlichen „Pop around the clock“ jede Menge Konzertmitschnitte, die alle parallel alle schon jetzt in der Mediathek verfügbar sind. Das bedeutet, dass ihr sie auch mit der kostenlosen Software MediathekView (Windows, Mac, Linux) herunterladen könnte – einige davon in HD-Qualität. TV-Tipp: Konspiratives Küchenkonzert mit Johanna Zeul (heute, 23.15 Uhr auf ZDFkultur)

Heute Abend (Freitag, 24. Februar 2012) um 23.15 Uhr bin ich auf ZDFkultur in meiner Paraderolle als „Herr der Fliegen“ zu sehen. Bei der Aufzeichnung der heutigen Folge der Konspirativen Küchenkonzerte im wunderschönen Wilhelmsburg setzte Künstler Baldur Burwitz nämlich 200.000 Fliegen im Studio aus. Da ich recht nah an einem Scheinwerfer saß, war meine hohe Stirn eine der Haupteinflugsschneisen (zumindest gefühlt). Schön zu sehen am Anfang dieses Trailers:

Ein besonderes musikalisches Highlight ist in der heutigen Folge der Konspirativen Küchenkonzerte zu sehen (Freitag, 23. September 2011, um 22 Uhr auf ZDFkultur): 30 Jahre nach „Fred vom Jupiter“ stellt Andreas Dorau Songs seines hörenswerten aktuellen Albums „Todesmelodien“ vor.

TV-Tipp: "Operation Bikini: Schlachtfelder der Schönheit" (arte, 6. Mai 2011, 10 Uhr)

Vor einer Woche zeigte arte die inhaltlich und visuell brillant umgesetzte Dokumentation “Operation Bikini”, die am Freitag, 6. Mai 2011, um 10 Uhr wiederholt wird. Filmemacherin Birgitt Herdlitschke analysiert im Gespräch mit Experten und Betroffene den Schönheits- und Schlankheitswahn.

Unbedingt schauen: Doku-Ökothriller „Die Bucht“ (Vox, 20.15 Uhr)

Beim Filmfest Hamburg 2009 war „Die Bucht“ („The Cove“) der wohl aufrüttelndste und schockierendste Film: Die Doku über Massaker an Delfinen in Japan wurde heimlich gefilmt und ist ein echter Öko-Thriller. Vox zeigt ihn heute (Samstag, 11. September 2010), um 20.15 Uhr, in der Nacht von Sonntag auf Montag (12./13. September 2010) wird er um 1.55 Uhr wiederholt.
