The hilarious tweets by Jared Yates Sexton on #TrumpRussia read by Stephen Colbert on Tuesday’s Late Show
On Tuesday’s Late Show, Stephen Colbert had a field day reading hilarious tweets by journalist Jared Yates Sexton who voiced his severe disappointment about Donald Trump Jr.’s damning mails regarding the Trump-Russia meeting:
I…worked on this story for a year…and…he just…he tweeted it out.
Here is a collection of Sexton’s tweets after Trump Jr.’s providing ’smoking gun‘ evidence against himself:
The above clip is followed by Colbert breaks down the implications of Donald Trump’s emails with „his weapon of mass clarification“: the Figure-It-Out-A-Tron.
The monologue of Wednesday’s Late Show was just a funny:
Colbert’s guest was John Oliver. Rolling Stone reports („Watch John Oliver, Colbert Talk ‚Turbo-F–ked‘ Trump-Russia Scandal“):
Elsewhere, Oliver spoke about how „Stupid Watergate“ – the term Last Week Tonight came up with to describe the Trump-Russia scandal – has continually proven to be disconcertingly apt, while he and Colbert also commiserated over the frightening possibility that the Trump administration is simply too dumb to realize the magnitude of the scandal. The two hosts also discussed their trips to Russia and the nerve-wracking sensation of being constantly followed and watched.
„My producer found someone in his hotel room,“ Oliver said. „He was just there and he was near the window and he said, ‚You called downstairs to have your window opened.‘ It’s February, we’re in Moscow, you have to try harder than that.“
