Hacking The Hag: Getting „Forbidden Content“ From PBS, Hulu & Pandora
I just published a blog post about a wonderful PBS documentary on Country great Merle “The Hag” Haggard (“Merle Haggard: Learning to Live with Myself”).
Problem: Due to licensing restrictions, you can’t watch the docu in territories like Germany (although the movie was co-produced by German company Spothouse GmbH in association with Thirteen for WNET.org). You receive the following error message: “We’re sorry, but this video is not available in your region due to rights restrictions.“
Solution: Install the Hotspot Shield. Its main purpose is about protecting WiFi devices from getting hacked. Nice side effect: Hotspot Shield fools websites like PBS.org, Hulu.com and Pandora.com into believing that you are allowed to obtain their streaming content.
